According to Magdaran, Lord Bael is extremely prideful even for a Bael and never showed any sort of fatherly love towards his sons, as he was greatly angered with his elder son Sairaorg for not born with the clan's Power of Destruction. Despite being the Head of the Bael Household, Lord Bael has never made a single decision on his own without consulting the First Generation Bael, Zekram Bael whether it was political or familial matters.
This caused Sairaorg to be scorned and shunned and the same discrimination was directed to his wife, Misla, just the same for being the one who birthed a "failure" in his eyes. He married his second wife and had his second son Magdaran, who was born with the clan's trademark, but wasn't as talented as Sirzechs and Rias and was very displeased when he was defeated by Sairaorg for the title as the next head.
Additionally, he did not think highly of Magdaran's passion for plants and his remarkable achievements in botanical research while many Devils commended Magdaran for being able to revive extinct plants and cultivating rare fruits. Lord Bael considered Madgaran's achievements in plant research as a shameful action and sternly warned him instead of praising him. Lord Bael is also a very jealous man as according to Zekram, aside from Sairaorg, he also has a strong hatred towards Issei as he is the strongest among the young Devils and the rising star as Oppai Dragon in the Underworld, garnering popularity and fame despite him being a reincarnated Devil.

He had made an agreegement with Zeoticus Gremory for his son Riser to marry Zeoticus's daughter Rias; the heiress of the Gremory clan. After the engagement was canceled due to Issei Hyoudou's actions, Lord Phenex told Zeoticus that he didn't mind as he was happy that Riser experienced defeat due to the fact that he overestimated the power of their clan, so the his defeat would be a good lesson for him.
Calfa Belial[]

He appears to have a pirate obsession, being dressed as a pirate, wielding a cutlass sword, wears an eye patch (despite still having both eyes) owning a pirate ship he call the "Flying Dutchman" with his clan magic circle as a jolly roger and referring to himself as Captain Gragg. He comes off as a sexist pervert, constantly calling Rias a "bitch" and commenting on her large breasts. He actively pursued Lilitifa Vepar to recruit her as a member of his peerage, but when Rias stood in his way, Poseidon stepped in to settle the matter in a Rating Game with himself as the judge. When things were looking bad on his end, he left the battle and summoned a Kraken to ensnare Lilitifa and all of the ORC girls, Issei then donned his Scale Mail armor and blasted the Kraken with a Dragon Shot, defeating Gragg.
Eneely Vassago[]
Eneely Vassago (エニーレィ・ヴァサーゴ Enīryi Vasāgo) is the elective head and next heiress of the House of Vassago. The House of Vassago originally had good ties with House of Astaroth until their downfall. Enlisting the aid of a human scientist, he continued to research the idea for strengthening as the scientist and his Nekomata wife, Fujimai were killed in a experiment gone wrong. Taking in their orphaned children, Kuroka and Shirone, he persuaded Kuroka to become his servant, making her his Bishop. As he continued to strengthen Kuroka, he intended to do the same towards her sister Shirone as he intended to force her to use her Senjutsu, which would have cause her powers to go out of control and harm her. Furious at the prospect of her sister being experimented on, Kuroka killed her master and fled the scene, becoming a Stray Devil as the younger sister Shirone was taken in to be questioned by the authorities.
Satan Clans[]
Lucifer[]
Lucifer (ルシファー, Rushifā) was the King of Devils and one of the four original Satans, progenitor of the Lucifer Clan and master of the Lucifuge Clan. He was Lilith's husband and Rizevim's father, who is also known as the Morning Star. According to Mephisto, Lucifer like his fellow Satans had an extremely domineering personality. He also had immense arrogance as according to Azazel, Lucifer and the other original Satans tyrannically desired to become the Kings of the World by destroying the World to create their own definition of a new world of Devils. Lucifer, because of his ideology, had so much pride in his actions and this trait would be passed down to his son and descendants. Hades also noted Lucifer's cruelty and tyranny also extends to his own wife Lilith as he continuously forced her to give birth to devils non stop, so he could create his personal Devil army for his ambition to the point where she fell into a coma with her body deteriorated to the point of necrosis.
To realize their shared ambition of world domination, Lucifer and his fellow Satans, the original Beelzebub, Asmodeus, and Leviathan, led the devils to fight in the Great War against the Angels led by the God of the Bible and the Fallen Angels led by Azazel, thus resulting in the deaths of billions of devils with more than half of the Devil Noble Clans of the 72 Pillars left extinct. A majority of the countless armies of devils that served under the 72 High-Class Devil Families also died in the process. Even after Lucifer's death in the Great War alongside his fellow Satans, his ideology still continues to cause a tremendous negative impact on the Devils from the Old Satan Faction, an organization of fanatic Devils lead by the Satans descendants who absolutely support his world domination ambitions, and who continued to cause danger and chaos to the Underworld.
Lilith (Mother of Devils)[]
Lilith (リリス, Ririsu) is the wife of Lucifer, the mother of Rizevim, the great grandmother of Vali Lucifer, and the ex-wife of Adam. She is known as the Beginning Mother of all Devils due to her unique ability to asexually reproduce pure Devils through the Book of Lucifer, having been the progenitor of the Devils by spawning the first generation Devils including the 72 Pillars and Extra Demons such as Zekram Bael and Runeas Gremory. She participated in the Great War against God and the Fallen Angels alongside the Original Satans. At some point, she went missing after the war and was not heard from since then. Rizevim honored his mother by naming the spawn of Ophis, Lilith, after her. It is revealed that Lilith is still alive, having been hidden by Rizevim in his secret laboratory and being held at the Realm of the Dead by Hades.
Hades found Rizevim’s laboratory with intel from Aži Dahāka and Apophis. Due to the immense strain from forcefully birthing Devils non-stop, theorized by Hades to be something Lucifer forced her to do, Lilith is trapped in a comatose state, with her body already starting to rot. Hades used Lilith to create over one hundred thousands devils, including the two Super Devils Balberith and Verrine, the strain of which further deteriorated her to the point of being described as "a lump of meat". After the defeat of Alliance of Hell, Lilith was recovered by the higher-ups of the Underworld.
It is heavily implied that Lilith is still conscious to some degree, as she released a signal aimed at the four strongest members of her new Devil brood, which after analysis were found to be names, and Hades assigned these names to Gressil, Sonneillon, Verrine and Balberith.
Razevan Lucifer[]
Razevan Lucifer (ラゼヴァン・ルシファー, Razevu~an Rushifā) was the grandson of the original Lucifer and Rizevim's son. Like Shalba Beelzebub, Katerea Leviathan, and Creuserey Asmodeus, Razevan had fanatically arrogant pride in his heritage as the Satan Lucifer's descendant. When he learned that Vali was born with a Longinus from his Human heritage, he developed a strong inferiority complex towards Vali as his son's ownership of a Longinus combined with the power of the Satan Lucifer he had inherited, would completely surpass his own power. This inferiority complex escalated into extreme terror, resulting in Razevan turning to Rizevim for advice out of desperation, who casually told him to bully Vali if he was that terrified of his son. Thus, Razevan began to constantly and viciously abuse Vali without any remorse or hint of guilt. He felt his dignity would be ruined by his own son and as a result, he would be utterly mocked for this.
Gradually, cruel abuse at one point was directed onto Vali's mother simply for showing Vali simple kindness, such as bandaging his wounds. Due to the immense pain, Vali suffered in his childhood, Vali held a strong hatred towards his father (and grandfather who was the one responsible for the abuse in the first place), to the point that Vali fully intended to commit patricide even if Rizevim did not kill his own son and when he learned of his father's demise, Vali felt great joy instead of sorrow.
Leviathan[]
Leviathan (レヴィアタン, Reviatan) was one of the four original Satans and progenitor of the Leviathan Clan, as well being the mother of Tsufaame Tereaku Leviathan. She also had immense arrogance as according to Azazel, Leviathan and the other original Satans tyrannically desired to become the Kings of the World by destroying the World to create their own definition of a new world of Devils. In the past, she had a girls-only gathering with Runeas Gremory. During their conversation whilst in a drunken state, she blabbed about an inscription on a stone board describing her powers for when she had descendants in the distant future.
To realize their selfish shared ambition of world domination, Leviathan, and her fellow Satans, the original Beelzebub, Asmodeus, and Lucifer, led the devils to fight in the Great War against the Angels led by the God of the Bible and the Fallen Angels led by Azazel, thus resulting in the deaths of billions of devils with more than half of the Devil Noble Clans of the 72 Pillars left extinct. A majority of the countless armies of devils that served under the 72 High-Class Devil Families also died in the process. Even after Leviathan's death in the Great War alongside her fellow Satans, her ideology still continues to cause a tremendous negative impact on the Devils from the Old Satan Faction, an organization of fanatic Devils who absolutely support her world domination ambitions, and who continued to cause danger and chaos to the Underworld.
Tsufaame Tereaku Leviathan[]
Tsufaame Tereaku Leviathan (ツファーメ・テレアク・レヴィアタン, Tsufāme Tereaku Reviatan) is the daughter of the original Leviathan, who was preparing to assume the position of Satan Leviathan alongside the other Satan descendants and restart the Great War against the Angels and Fallen Angels. She was noted to be very powerful as her water attacks could defeat High-class Devils and even Ultimate-class devils as her attacks could wipe out an army of 10000 troops.
During the Devil Civil War, the Devil Army led by Tsufaame's Leviathan army and Anti-Government forces lead by Ajuka Astaroth fought against each other, the two fought each other in single combat at the old abandoned Gusion territory. They battled each other in the sky of Gusion castle town. She tried to drown Ajuka with enough water gathered to submerge the city, the water column rose towards Ajuka and tried to wrap around him or the water swelled as if it had a will of its own and created a myriad of sharp lances to attack Ajuka from all sides as various water monsters such as underwater-giant sea fish, sea snakes and titans appeared from underwater and attacked Ajuka. However, she was humiliated by being attacked by her own attacks which Ajuka redirected and being counterattacked by Ajuka himself, which caused her body to become damaged as she was losing breath. Angered, she transformed into her true Leviathan form; a thin and long giant floating serpent-shaped dragon as she opened her mouth wide and fired a giant dark blue aura several times but all of her attacks were all diverted Ajuka's Kankara Formula. She was asked to surrender by Ajuka, but choose her position, honor, and pride over her life as the Leviathan's army was wiped out and she was killed.
Beelzebub[]
Beelzebub (ベルゼブブ, Beruzebubu) was one of the four original Satans and the progenitor of the Beelzebub Clan, as well as the father of Bidleid Bashalun Beelzebub. He also had immense arrogance as according to Azazel, Beelzebub and the other original Satans tyrannically desired to become the Kings of the World by destroying the World to create their own definition of a new world of Devils.
To realize their selfish shared ambition of world domination, Beelzebub and his fellow Satans, the original Leviathan, Asmodeus and Lucifer, led the devils to fight in the Great War against the Angels led by the God of the Bible and the Fallen Angels led by Azazel, thus resulting in the deaths of billions of devils with more than half of the Devil Noble Clans of the 72 Pillars left extinct. A majority of the countless armies of devils that served under the 72 High-Class Devil Families also died in the process. Even after Beelzebub's death in the Great War alongside his fellow Satans, his ideology still continues to cause a tremendous negative impact on the Devils from the Old Satan Faction, an organization of fanatic Devils who absolutely support his world domination ambitions, and who continued to cause danger and chaos to the Underworld.
Bidleid Bashalun Beelzebub[]
Bidleid Bashalun Beelzebub (ビドレイド・バシャルン・ベルゼブブ, Bidoreido Basharun Beruzebubu) is the son of the original Beelzebub, who was preparing to assume the position of Satan Beelzebub alongside the other Satan descendants and restart the Great War against the Angels and Fallen Angels. He and Rizevim Livan Lucifer have known each other since childhood. Due to Rizevim Livan Lucifer's insistence to not take control of the government and military, Bidleid lead things in his absence as the unofficial leader of the Satans.
In the middle of the Devil Civil War between the Satan Faction and Anti-Satan Faction, he visits the castle of the Satan Lucifer and exchanges his last conversation with Rizevim. He knew at this time that the Satans army would lose to the Sirzech and the rebels, but he did not stop fighting. He asked Rizevim if he was leaving Lucifaad and why he didn't fight as he could defeat the Rebel army, the Angels, Fallen Angels, and even the Gods of the other mythologies. He told Rizevim that in the near future, even if Rizevim became serious, he would be killed by the "Sacred Gear System" or those that surpass the Satans like Sirzechs and Ajuka. Beelzebub's army around Lucifaad and the rest of the Six Houses of Lucifer were also defeated without any resistance by the aces (Sirzechs, Ajuka, and Serafall) of the Rebel army. Eventually, the rebels invaded the residence of the Satan Beelzebub, where Bidleid lived and the last battle of the civil war began. Bidleid spread his twelve wings in the sky of the residence and fired a strong aura, however his attacks could not get through at all by the aura of destruction that Sirzechs released after he turned into an incarnation of destruction. Bidleid had lost one arm and one leg, half of his wings, and was bleeding heavily. His defeat was assured. Sirzechs gave him one last chance to change his mind, but he did not change his intention to defeat the angel Michael and the fallen angel Azazel, so he received the last sphere of destruction from Sirzechs and finally said; "The blood and wrath of the Satans will always be against you." With Bidleid's death, the civil war was effectively over.
Asmodeus[]
Asmodeus (アスモデウス, Asumodeusu) was one of the four original Satans and the progenitor of the Asmodeus Clan, as well as the father of Damaidosu Zereikel Asmodeus. He also had immense arrogance as according to Azazel, Asmodeus and the other original Satans tyrannically desired to become the Kings of the World by destroying the World to create their own definition of a new world of Devils.
To realize their selfish shared ambition of world domination, Asmodeus and his fellow Satans, the original Leviathan, Beelzebub and Lucifer, led the devils to fight in the Great War against the Angels led by the God of the Bible and the Fallen Angels led by Azazel, thus resulting in the deaths of billions of devils with more than half of the Devil Noble Clans of the 72 Pillars left extinct. A majority of the countless armies of devils that served under the 72 High-Class Devil Families also died in the process. Even after Asmodeus's death in the Great War alongside his fellow Satans, his ideology still continues to cause a tremendous negative impact on the Devils from the Old Satan Faction, an organization of fanatic Devils who absolutely support his world domination ambitions, and who continued to cause danger and chaos to the Underworld.
Damaidosu Zereikel Asmodeus[]
Damaidosu Zereikel Asmodeus (ダマイドス・ゼレイケル・アスモデウス, Damaidosu Zereikeru Asumodeusu) is the son of the original Asmodeus, who was preparing to assume the position of Satan Asmodeus alongside the other Satan descendants and restart the Great War against the Angels and Fallen Angels.
In the civil war between the Satan army and the Rebel army, Damaidosu leads the Asmodeus army to face the Rebel army where Serafall served as an ace on the defunct territory of the Valefor family, and he along with his army almost became cornered by the overwhelming ice magic of Serafall. The Satan army regained the momentum when the forces of the Six Houses of Lucifer, where Grayfia served as an ace decided to join the fight and the royal army regained its strength. When Damaidosu saw the fierce magical battle between Serafall and Grayfia, he was dazed and awestruck as he couldn't intervene at all. About 10 days after the battle continued undecided, Sirzechs' army appeared and Satan's army re-grouped. The battle between the Rebel army, lead by Sirzechs and Serafall, and the Satan army, lead by Damidos along with the Six Houses of Lucifer continued for days, as land, nature, and landscape of the former Valefor domain suffered serious damage. The battle that was taking place in the old Valefor domain became confusing by the sudden appearance of a Fly Chimera, and both sides temporarily retreated their troops. After the Fly Chimera was defeated by Sirzechs, the battle at the former Valefor domain was resumed and Damaidosu was defeated and killed by Sirzechs and Serafall.
Extra Demons[]
Lord Lucifuge[]
Lord Lucifuge (ルキフグス卿, Rukifugusu Kyō) was the father of Grayfia and Euclid, well as the leader of the Lucifuge clan. A silver-haired man with a fearless face. He admired the first Lucifer, and was the closest to Lucifer which forced him make multifaceted decisions.
Because Lucifer's son, Rizevim, was not interested in the future of the Underworld, the pressure exerted on Lucifer's right hand, Lucifuge, was great and he often acted on behalf of Lucifer.
During the Devil Civil War between the Satan Faction and Anti-Satan Faction, near the Valefor domain, the former of Satan Army sent him and the base of Lucifuge troops to front line, to support the Asmodeus army led by Damaidosu, with him acting as the military commander. He was poisoned during the sudden appearance of the Fly Chimera and was forced lie down in a bed at the medical camp for officers. When Sirzechs asked him to retreat his troops, he trusted Sirzechs and retreated.
When Damaidosu was defeated and killed, the Lucifuge army, which was supporting the Asmodeus army immediately surrendered. After the surrender, he called Sirzechs to the base of the Lucifuge Army. He did not recover from the poison and called for only Grayfia and Sirzechs at the bedside, hoping for the last visit. With a fading voice, he made two requests to Sirzechs. His first request was to destroy the House of Lucifuge as Euclid will become a threat to the Underworld, stating the House of Lucifuge would be better off destroyed than to be used to bring chaos to the Underworld. His second request was to take care of Grayfia as he knew she was in love with Sirzechs and becoming relieved when Sirzechs agreed, closing his eyes quietly with a satisfied face. In the end, he died, wishing for Grayfia's own happiness, while stroking his daughter's crying face with his hand saying "Lucifuge should always be with Lucifer.", but she should think about her own happiness from then own.
Zaorama Nebiros[]
Zaorama Nebiros (ザオロマ・ネビロス, Zaoroma Nebirosu) was the head of the Nebiros Clan and the leader of the "Nebiros Institute". By nature, he was a devil who was only interested in his own research. During the Devil Civil War, he awakened Barbariccia; the deputy commander of the "Malebranche". At the end of the Devil Civil War, he escaped from Lucifaad and set up a laboratory deep underground in an undeveloped land where no High-Class Devils had territory.
