Raynare decsends from above and commands Asia to return to the Fallen Angels' base with her. Asia refuses to help Raynare kill her and other people. Raynare resolves to force her return due to the Fallen Angels' need for her ability. Issei refuses to let her go, prompting Raynare to mock him and his undeveloped 'Crimson Dragon' Sacred Gear before sending a aerial light spear at him again. Issei activates its Boost ability while attempting evading her to no avail and is impaled by her spear in the gut. Asia heals him and leaves the park with Raynare in exchange for her sparing an inexperienced Issei. When he begs the Occult Research Club for help saving Asia, Rias refuses as entering the Fallen Angels' base will exacerbate the tension between the opposing factions of Devils and Fallen Angels, resulting in war and his death. When Akeno and her are about to leave on an unnamed mission, she helps him by explaining Issei's Pawn ability to promote into any piece other than King when in enemy territory. Rias advises him to avoid promoting up to 'Queen' as he would be unable to bear the weight of promotion. With some encouragement for Issei to develop his physical power through his will, she leaves with Akeno. Koneko and Yuuto offer to aid him and leave to go save Asia. Meanwhile, inside the Fallen Angel base located at an abandoned church, Raynare prepares to take away Asia's healing ability by means of a ceremony.
